Gracious Words

Salvation through Christ

I am Kok Wai Wu and I own a 胡覺偉small business. I know that there must be trust in business, especially since I am a very self-conscious person. In my memories, I remember a special business experience. The customer is Korean and he said that he is a Christian. Every time we do business, he asks me to read out the Lord’s Prayer, and he also invited me to go to church. Because of his sincere invitation, I went to Peace Evangelical Church. At first, I did not care about going to that church. However, after a while, God’s words started to open up my heart. I felt that every word in the scripture convicted me, and persuaded me that there is a true creator of the world. Specially, when the scripture mention that “Kingdom”, “Power”, and “Glory” all be to God, my heart is touched knowing that there is a Majestic God and I am too small. I feel guilt when I think back on when I was an arrogant person. But thankfully, God’s words have molded me throughout the past few years. In 2016, I was willing to accept Christ as me personal savior. I have left my pride and complacence behind.

胡覺偉 Kok Wai WuI didn’t have a craving for God, but because of his love, mercy, righteousness, and forgiveness, He has never forsaken me because of my weakness, and the Lord guides me continuously. The scripture below has changed my life. In John 14:6,   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Moreover, In Acts 4: 12, “ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” I deeply hear that God has called me, remembered me, and never left me. At that time, the Holy Spirit touched me to return to God and to Jesus. I admit that I am a sinner and I renounce my sins. I accept Jesus as each person’s savior, and I am willing to lift my life to God. I am willing to let God control my life. I am willing to listen to the Lord Jesus’s command to read the bible, pray, and attend church.

Since I accepted the Lord Jesus, I see changes in myself. I no longer hold on to my own opinions, and I would think what God would think. I love God more and more, I love my family, and I love brothers and sister in Christ.

In the future, I am willing to crave a closer relationship with God. May the Lord continue to help me to seek the truth in the Bible, do daily devotions, and meditate on God’s words? Let all these become part of my life.

Finally, I thank God for this opportunity to proclaim in public. In the past decades, God has been looking after me and my family with grace. Not only were my family members given salvation, God has encouraged and cared for me through the church and brothers and sister in Christ. I sincerely thank every one of you. Today and ever after, I gain the greatest joy: knowing Jesus Christ.
