Gracious Words

God’s Graciousness

My name is Zhagzhu Ye. I came to 葉長珠 Zhangzhu YeAmerica on August 9, 2017, and became friends with a neighbor who is a member of this church. She asked me to come to church with her. At that time, I did not know anything about church. But each Sunday, I was moved to tears by the songs that were sung, as they reminded me of many past experiences. I thank my heavenly Father who has mercy on me, and the Spirit moved my heart and  awakened me to start thinking about the meaning of life, Christ Jesus, and why He would die on the cross for a sinner like me.

In the October Evangelistic meeting in 2017, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit, felt for sure that Jesus really loved me, and knew I was a sinner in need of Jesus’s salvation. At that moment, I prayed to Jesus for forgiveness, accepted Jesus as my personal savior, and entrusted my life to Him. I want to follow Jesus’s teaching, to study the Bible, pray, and go to church meetings!

By listening to the pastors’ preaching and Sunday school teachings, I feel God’s presence daily. One passage that affects me deeply is from Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” So, I believe because the Bible says so. Now, I know that many sisters in the church care for and help me; I also see that brothers and sisters in Christ love one another as in a family; God also gave me a good job and blessed my family. I used to be a typical traditional Chinese woman who believes in the Chinese feudal religion. Now, I will not believe in these idol beliefs. I would rather listen to Jesus, study the Bible, pray, go to Sunday services, and attend Sunday worships, go to Sunday school and Gospel meetings.

God gave me a grandchild this year. I know this is God’s grace to my family and to me. I also pray for God’s salvation for those family members who have not believed. Therefore, I decided to follow Jesus, to be His daughter. I thank Him for His bountiful Grace. Amen!
